FASHION RECAP: KANYE WEST x ADIDAS KICKS OFF NEW YORK FASHION WEEK!

New York Fashion Week has begun this week, and designers are already setting the bar high. The fashion show that has been the talk of the town since last night, is the Kanye West for Adidas fashion show. Many A-list celebrities attended the show in support of the brand. From the Rocnation family, to Diddy and Alexander Wang, these icons sat in the front row anticipating what was in store for the night. They were in for a treat and Kanye set himself apart from other designers through his collaboration with Adidas.

Adidas is known as an athletic brand that exudes sporty and comfortable looks. Kanye added his own touch to their Fall 2015 collection, taking Adidas’ athletic designs to the next level. Each female model wore a sheer body suit underneath the designer clothing worn. What I loved about the suit is that it created a simplistic base that allowed the main pieces to stand out.

The models weren’t dressed in your average tall hair and make up. They were more so in their natural beauty, wearing the Kanye for Adidas originals. The line consisted of many warm color pallets of nudes, olives, browns, and fatigue. Some garments implemented styles of modern-day grunge, while others remained in the casual category. Within the collection you can find many edgy oversized silhouettes creating a comfortable look on the runway.  Each piece was styled in a way that captured Adidas’ athletic image. I believe that Adidas and Kanye presented the line in a way the drew our eyes away from the models, and to the clothing itself. Well done Kanye and Adidas!

  1. Not even….the presentation seemed odd to me- very android tone.
I’m happy the critics seem to give it thumbs up, but I don’t know about it…

    1. I can see that. Although the looks were simple and odd, there’s something about it that I just like. Any designers from fashion week this far who’s collections have spoke to you?
