Fourth of July is quickly approaching, and many of us have yet to find anything to wear. For those who may be stuck in a rut, I have prepared a few styles just for you! These looks are created to accommodate the type of party you’ll be attending, whether it be a family barbecue, night out on the town, or office party. I hope these looks come in handy!
When planning an outfit for Fourth of July, you don’t always have to sport the American flag or wear the traditional colors. These outfits I have put together are breaking the rules of how people may envision their celebration looks.
The first look is for fashionistas who may be spending the celebration with their families and friends at a barbecue. I paired a white short lace H&M top, with a pair of high-waisted denim shorts. Wearing white and light weight fabrics keeps you cool while enjoying your time in the hot sun. When pairing accessories with your look for an outdoor event, you want to keep it minimal or you will be stuck in a sticky situation. In hot weather, jewelry tends to stick to your skin. Keeping it simple, I added a gold Michael Kors watch, layered bar necklaces, and white minimals sandals. Staying in the spirit of Fourth of July, I topped off the look with a red and white flower crown.
For those of you who may be spending the Fourth out with your girls, I have created a look that is sexy and great for the occasion. I paired a maroon and navy blue wrap skirt, with a white crop tank and single sole heels. When putting together a Fourth of July look, you don’t always have to use the traditional shade of colors. This look uses toned down colors to go along with the night out vibe. To accessorize, I kept it simple with a gold choker to not take too much attention away from the look.
So, your boss has put together a Fourth of July party, and you can’t find anything to wear. Although this is an after work hours event, you still want to dress the part. Just remember, don’t show too much skin, keep it classy, and dress appropriate for the occasion. This doesn’t mean that you can’t implement your own style. Unleashing your inner fashionista is great, but stay in the range of the work dress code.
For this look, I chose to use all the American colors, but in a different way. I paired a blue denim button-up with a white skater skirt, to balance out the blue and white. Last but not least, I threw in red accessories by using a white and red overlay necklace and red single sole heels. This look allows you to play with the trends, while keeping it classy for the party!
If you’re currently standing in front of your closet, and can’t find anything to wear– I hope this shed some light, or at least gave you a bit of inspiration. I’d love to see what you come up with for this Friday’s celebration! Share you’re looks with us and you could be in an upcoming post featuring the style of our viewers!
